Camper van conversion update on the Iveco van. The van is coming along nicely .Work is progressing on the inside and there has been a lot of body work preparation ahead of the van going to the body shop for a full re-spray , so the next time you see the van it will have had a full re-spray and probably have the plastic trim re-fitted and more of the inside done. The rock and roll bed was made a...

Caravan settee cushions, good for camper van conversion.
I had one of these, came with the alloys from the puma racing version. Loved it, great ďriving car. Only problem was in summer the gearknob and leather seats cooked you until the aircon took effect...
Yes they are a fantastic car to drive and on the day I made this video the seats and the gear knob were very hot.
Welcome back Shaun 👍
Hello , yes is good to be back.
Hello Shaun, great to see you back on UA-cam.i remember the silver one you done a review on,this one is a nice tidy example of a Puma.i do like to keep all the info myself.
I'm the same about info Steven it's all part of the car's history , it is a good tidy little car and just as much fun to drive as the silver one.
Great to see you back Shaun❤.
Hello Katie nice to hear from you , not a lot been going on lately just pottering around in my new shed making things out of wood , going to do some videos on it at some point , hope you are keeping well.
Thought you would have gone for the big jump at the bottom of the hill shaun lol
Ha ha took for a right good raz after this video up on the tops .
Great van! Do you know if the auto box on these was ok - and do you think it would be much slower? Seen an automatic Autosleeper Duetto camper with 2.5 non turbo banana for sale.
Hello , I don't have any experience with the auto boxes so I don't know if it would be any slower , but these Transits are slow anyway and are ok for 60 mph but at that speed they are noisy. I guess the way to do is have a drive of the one you are looking at and take it from there maybe but as I say they are a slow van anyway .
@@ShaunMurray63 Many thanks for quick reply - I wouldn't pick an auto, but the bodywork looks pretty good. Have always had a camper and there were two sounds you could always tell when in bed on a campsite - the sliding door of a VW......and the distinctive noise of a banana engine firing up!
@@robertp.wainman4094 Yes a very distinctive sound indeed.
can you show the assembly of the double bed and bunks, the sewerage and water connections outside? also does the orange power lead just plug into a normal socket in the home?
Used to see them all around London and south east London, one he used to give me a lift and pick me up in one on the way to work back in the 1990’s , think his was way older though like a 1985. A great sight to see and you have done a great job restoring her, thank you for sharing.
Yes they used to be everywere.
I can't tell you how useful this is. Good to see a mover the same as ours.
Glad it's of use to you.
Bed
How do you re-pair this model of remote to the mover? I've been told to look at youtube videos by the dealer but noone has the same.
I'll be back with questions now I'm a proud owner... thanks so far 👌👌👌👌
A fantastic touring machine for sealed roads if you can deal with the weight, though for an all-road tourer something a lot lighter would be better IMO, like the Kawasaki W650 or KLR650.
Yes they are heavy.
They're a very sharp looking rig though I wish this had the 10 stud wheels. You can can see they strived to give the cab interior car like comfort levels, much like Japanese trucks do. I imagine those plastics are subject to deterioration in harsh conditions.
Rust was a bigger issue.
Pity. They were a great looking truck.
Yes they started getting there act together with the interiors but cab rust was a problem.
I hate rust. Ford D series and Cargos were once a common sight in Australia. I recall them as street sweepers used by my local council in the 1990s. Probably among the last built. I recently came across a derelict heavy three axle example with a box body parked in an industrial area with spider wheels and yellow CAT motor visible when looking under the cab. Some of the final Cargos sold here became very Americanised wirh their engines and running gear.
@@jamesfrench7299 We never got the artic one with the Cummins L10 just the 7.5t models.
Lovely bike, awesome! Congratulations!
Looks like it didnt last too long unfortunately .. Rust is the killer .. Ive got a minter 1998 R plate in black with less than 20k miles on it .. Absolutely love it..
Love the Pumas , I bought another one recently.
Did that van have a battery charger on it anywhere Shaun ?
No it didn't have a battery charger as in like a car battery charger but they do have a system on them that when the caravan is hooked up to a 230v supply it chargers the battery when you switch on the charging mode on the internal caravan panel.
@@ShaunMurray63 cheers Shaun ,I have the identical van here in my driveway, at the moment I have no lighting or anything even though the battery is connected, I've switched the panel on the wall to car and van vice versa and although when switched to van the needle is in the green nothing is working and I didn't know if there was a charger and more switches somewhere..
@@garethlee1644 here will be a isolator switch in the battery box that you turn on with a red short type key . Check that you have or it is turned on then let me know if you are then getting power to the inside of the caravan , if by chance you have already done this check if the battery is flat . If you think it might be flat use the hook up lead to a 230v plug socket and then see if you have power into the caravan , let me know how you get on.
@@ShaunMurray63 Thanks mate ,greatful 👊🍻
@@garethlee1644 No probs let me know how you get on mate.
This brings back memories! I used to do European runs in a day cab 0813 with a box on the back when I was 18-19 years old. No night heater, no bunk, no curtains and no sat nav. Loved every second of it…!!! When I was 19 the owner upgraded our fleet and I got a Leyland Daf 45 with the high roof, was like someone gave me a Bentley.
Happy days,
kawasaki now the problem no for manny years ,but why the does notting to improuve it ???
Thank you for this video it helped me decide and now I own this nice camper
Glad the video was of use to you.
Bloody lovely little truck, cheers for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks , glad you like it.
Been a massive help this vid
That's good to hear .
I had a 1980 GS 850G fully kitted out with all the Vetter products, full fairing, tall windscreen, lowers, saddlebags and tail trunk. Rode it for 17 years, best bike I ever had. Fast, very stable, great seat, comfortable, perfect. I have a Road King and a Honda Ace now, still miss my Suzuki.
Yes they are epic.
Awesome 👏🏼 I was sent by squaddy. Subbed to you 🤙🏼

@@chrismillersrcfamily No probs .My nephew has a drone channel on you tube aswell.

Loved these trucks and drove several during the 1980s and 1990s the truck would keep on going,it was an hard working truck 👍
Same era that I come from by the sounds of it .
How many miles where on the bike
Hello it had 16.500 on it at the time .
Best paint scheme Suzuki ever produced!! I have a GS1000GL. Wish it had this paint!
Mot expired now hope the van still lives on and its just been parked up for the winter
That MOT stuff is nuts 🤪
I've never forgotten the sound of a Ford Cargo 0813 and how badly they rusted. The Dover engine just kept going though. I did think the Iveco Eurocargo was a huge leap forward
You, sir, are a genius. Thanks for the clear explanation of the real doohickey problem.
What was the mileage on this engine?
How what year is the bike in the video, and what was the mileage for that much guide wear. I just bought a KLR with 3K miles and plan the replace the doohickey and spring, but I'm wondering if I'll need to order guides too. Obviously I can check while I'm inside the engine, but I'd like to minimize the downtime.
own the same model . same colour as yours. got a four into two marving exhaust which sounds nice. got the most comfortable seat you will sit on. great bikes very underated.
Die hatte ich auch für mich war sie die beste
Is it still on the road?
Now then, when are we going to do this top tear style drone filming with this to make you a nice little channel intro video Papi? 😊
Need to send this video to Kawasaki and hopefully they will address the issue
the best doohickey video ever .. thank you sir
Nice example, thanxs 4 sharing.
Thanks for looking.
Well it is a nice truck, especially with the sleeper cab. Would look good with an R.V. unit of the back.@@ShaunMurray63
Did you go to many rallies with it? ,looks a beaut will you miss it
Hello , yes we did some local shows with it and yes I think I will miss it.
Hello Shaun, great video, you don't see these much now the cargo lorries,it is a tidy example, and the bed cabin is good to see.
Hello Steven , yes it's in pretty good nick to say it's 31yrs old.
Are you selling it? Looks nice. Can't say I know much about these.
Yes I've made the video as a selling tool.
@@ShaunMurray63did you sell it?
@@WranglingUAE Yes sold it last year sad to see it go.
Hi Shannon, I've got same mover and remote...any ideas how you pair remote to unit as I've no cable????
So the doohickey mod spring just takes the slack out of a stretched chain. hmmm nice catch.
Yep.
Is thus for sale
No it's sold.
Geiles Motorrad 🥰👍
Just discovered you video, mines a manual Riech mover on the swift van I've just bought, mover/rollers work fine but how far pressed against the tryes do the rollers need to be please? Thanks.
Hello, you just need to turn the mechanism through 180 degrees and that will put enough pressure through the roller onto the tyre.
@@ShaunMurray63 Sorry I don't understand what you mean by 180 degrees?
@@markweatherall7437 Hello Mark take a look at this other video that I made of another type of motor mover maybe this will help you . ua-cam.com/video/NuBt2Tbw8Io/v-deo.html
